Nexus Cards are now valid identification for border crossing to and from Canada/US

Nexus Cards

Your Nexus card can now be used as acceptable form of identification at the border. Both US and Canadian border officials have confirmed that Nexus, along with FAST cards can be used in place of a passports. Canadians will still be required to prove citizenship along with their Nexus cards.
